Spring is such an amazing season – a time when nature comes back to life after the quiet and cold of winter. It’s a great time to start new projects, get some Spring cleaning done, and to connect with our sense of being vital, alive, and ready to grow.
If you’re drawn to crystals to support you on your path, then here’s some thoughts for great crystals for Spring. This is just my opinion! But I think these are really great crystals to support us in growing, feeling vital, and flowing with the newness and possibility of this season.
Lepidolite is a great stone for getting “unstuck”, and for helping us move beyond the past. It is a stone of rebirth, bringing calm and relaxation at times of stress and transition. To me, it supports hope, relief, self-love, patience, self-forgiveness and opening up to the potential that lies within us. It’s also a great stone for meditation – I have a flat slab of it that I often place under my shin when I’m meditating to help me connect within in a grounded way.
Moss agate is lovely at any time, and it’s particularly lovely in Spring. Moss agate is a gorgeous stone with a gentle, nurturing energy. It’s traditionally associated with supporting midwives and gardeners (I have a few hidden through my courtyard, and I swear it’s making the weeds grow really well). It’s a great stone when you’re looking for a new start, and releasing the limitations of the past. It is also said to be helpful for improving self-confidence, supporting self-expression and reconnecting with strength and hope from a place of calm.
Flower agate is another lovely stone for Spring and has a gentle feminine energy that wants to help you blossom and bloom! It is said to help support growth and personal evolution, and to help us to focus our mind to bring forth into the world the things we are ready to sprout!
Green aventurine is pretty well known for being a stone of good luck, prosperity and abundance. It can also be helpful for giving us a bit of a gentle kick up the butt to get going, and to make good choices. It can help our creativity sprout, grow and manifest in the world.
I don’t think there’s any time of year when having some labradorite around isn’t a good idea. It’s particularly useful in times of change and transformation – and Spring is about as big a transformation as the natural world gives! It’s a great stone for grounding and protection, but also for meditation and insight. A lot of stones are one of those, but not the other, so labradorite is pretty special. Wearing a labradorite pendant or having a labradorite palm stone nearby (in your pocket if you’ve got one) can be really supportive when you’re really ready to do something different and show up in the world in a new way. It’s a great stone to promote growth, while keeping you grounded and protected.
All the calcites are great, but I’m particularly fond of green calcite, and I think it’s a great stone for Spring. It is said to help us to balance mind, body and spirit and get in touch with our hearts. It’s also a great stone for gardeners, and those who are planting intentions and wanting them to sprout. All the calcites are known as “accelerators” – so speeding up growth where you need it – but green calcite is also known for supporting motivation and the transformation of the negative into positive. Definitely a personal growth accelerator!
There are plenty more! But these are the ones I particularly like for this time of year. I hope this gives you some useful ideas!
