Healing with Kaye Oakley
K2 is a less common stone, but I’m enjoying getting to know the little pieces of it that I have.
This stone is named after the mountain in the Himalayas near which it is found (K2, the second highest mountain in the world). It is made up of granite which hardens and then has droplets of azurite or occasionally malachite spotted through it as a secondary process, presumably over aeons. It boggles the mind.
K2 is also known as K2 jasper, K2 granite, Raindrop Azurite and ketonite.
It is a stone of balance and grounding – but also of the upper chakras, which is a pretty unusual combination.
It can help with enhancing psychic abilities and spiritual connection – as though helping us to “see” from a great height.
The granite brings the grounding, and some have called this a “guardian” stone, suggesting that it is protective and supports our strength.
K2 can be a stone of support in times of trial and hardship. Essentially, if you’ve got a big mountain to climb and you’re not sure you can do it, K2 might be a good stone to carry with you to support you to feel hopeful, courageous, and able to see clearly in the direction you’re supposed to go.
Do you like K2? Do you have one? How do you like to use it?
