Healing with Kaye Oakley
The scenes that we’ve been seeing of the floods in QLD and NSW and those affected by them are heartbreaking and shocking.
But our yoga practice helps us remember that when our hearts are broken, it’s important to allow them to break open - to help us connect with others and support each other.
Join me for a two-hour online yoga class (via Zoom) to raise funds for the Australian Red Cross QLD and NSW Floods Appeal.
Australian Red Cross is providing urgent humanitarian support to the communities affected by the floods. This has included psychosocial support, registering people through their reunification service Register.Find.Reunite so their loved ones know they are safe and providing essential support and assistance at evacuation and relief centres. Red Cross is providing evacuation centres for those who have been displaced by flooding and have so far assisted over 10,000 people through them. They are also providing financial assistance to help individuals and families impacted by the floods. If you’d like more information about what they are doing, or you’d like to help them directly (or you need their help), please go to:

This yoga class will be a fairly gentle session and it is envisioned as a heart offering – we’ll use the practice to connect with and nurture our own hearts, and offer compassion and loving kindness to those impacted by the floods – and all that’s happening in the world right now. It will be a mix of gentle flow and yin yoga, and should be suitable for most levels – but if you’ve got any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
