Healing with Kaye Oakley
For my fellow selenophiles (AKA moon lovers!) we’re approaching the final full moon of 2023, just after Christmas on the 27th of December. And no matter how the year has gone for you, I believe that using the final full moon of the year to turn inwards, reflect and indulge in a bit of self-nurture is a potent opportunity.
Full moons are a great time to surrender what no longer serves us, to let go of anything that we’re clinging to. By doing this, we can create space for something new, inviting in what’s more in alignment with our best and highest good, and with our soul’s purpose.
In this 90 minute online lunar yoga workshop, we'll be doing some gentle, fluid movement before deeply relaxing into greater stillness with more yin-style poses. We’ll spend some time in meditation (seated or lying down, as you prefer). We’ll get in touch with what needs to be let go, what needs to be let be, and what we want to open up to.
My intention is that you would come away from this session feeling deeply nurtured, lighter of heart, and clearer of intention moving into 2024.
And you can do it all from your bed!
My initial intention for this practice was for it to be do-able from the floor, but I know that sometimes getting up and down from the floor can be a bit tricky for many of us. So you can totally do this yoga practice from your bed (although it would probably need to be a double bed or larger).
This yoga workshop will be suitable for most people with some level of fitness or yoga experience.
You'll need a surface you’re comfortable lying on, a good, sturdy blanket or two, a pillow or cushion, and a journal and something to write with. Layers such as a light cardigan and socks would also probably be helpful.
